Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Milk-to-Go (7 x 473 ml bottles) and whipped cream canister were inside the beverage cooler at 9C.
Corrective Action(s): Aforementioned items discarded at time of inspection. All potentially hazardous foods and drinks (including ones with dairy products) must be kept at no more than 4C to prevent the growth of disease-causing bacteria.

Observation: Beverage cooler used to store milk products at 9C.
Corrective Action(s): Adjust or repair cooler so that it is at 4C or less. Alternatively, store dairy products in a cooler that can maintain 4C or less.

315 - Refrigeration units and hot holding equipment lack accurate thermometers [s. 19(2)]
Observation: Beverage cooler was at 9C, but thermometer was broken and registered it as -4C. When temperature logs were being taken, "-4C" was written on the temperature log sheet.
Corrective Action(s): Replace the thermometer so that temperatures can be accurately measured inside the beverage cooler.

Comments

Routine inspection conducted. Premise is generally well organized and maintained in very good sanitary condition. The following was noted during the inspection:

1. Temperatures
- Domestic cooler unit at 1C
- Domestic freezer unit at -18C
- Beverage cooler at 9C
- Chest freezer at -18C
- Temperature logs up-to-date. However, beverage cooler thermometer was malfunctioning and the logs were based on erroneous readings (see violation code 315 above)

2. Hygiene and Sanitizing
- Hand wash station stocked with hot/cold running water, liquid soap, and single-use paper towels
- Bleach is available for use
- Interior of microwave, panini press, grills are generally in good sanitary condition
- Interior of cappuccino machine in good sanitary condition

3. Storage
- Food products stored inside containers with tight-fitted lids. All food products stored neatly inside cabinets or in back storage freezer
- Designated chemical storage area present underneath the two-compartment sink
- Single-use products such as plastic cutlery and cups are stored in original pre-packaged containers

4. Pest Control
- No evidence of recent, visible pest activity at time of inspection
- Mechanical trap opened near the chest freezer area did not contain any rodents

5. Administrative
- Permit posted and up-to-date

6. The following require your attention:
- Please ensure that the top of your popcorn machine is cleaned and sanitized after each use
- The cheese warmer should be drained out at the end of the day
- NOTE: Deep fryer unit was referred to the fire department in the last routine inspection, and a sign was posted indicating that it was no longer allowed to be used. No signage is present and the deep fryer is still in the concession stand. EHO to follow-up with facility manager
