208 - Foods obtained from unapproved sources [s. 11] Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): 11 containers of peeled garlic stored in mason jars was observed on-site. Owner states that these products are obtained from a friend and prepared at home. Corrective Action(s): Containers were removed from site at time of inspection. Comments

A routine inspection was conducted of a warehouse for pre-packaged goods. This warehouse has a laminate floor area at the front-of-house with two chest freezers. The area at the back is generally well maintained. Although the floor is carpeted, there is only storage of dry, pre-packaged goods or cans (e.g. vitamins, baby formula). No re-packaging occurs on-site. The following was noted at time of inspection: Both chest freezers are well organized and meat/seafood products stored inside are at -18C / -26C Cooler unit not in use and is scheduled for repair later next month. The only products stored inside are whole fruits and vegetables Baby formula and vitamins are within expiry dates Premise generally maintained in good sanitary condition No evidence of recent, visible pest activity noted at time of inspection No gap observed at back door area
