Adequate handwashing stations not available for employees [s. 21(4)]
Observation: - Water supply to handsink was turned off at time of the inspection. No food preparation or food service was occurring at the time. Maintenance staff reported that foodhandlers wash hands in one compartment of warewashing sink.

Correction: - Turn on water supply to handwashing sink so hot and cold water is available at the handsink for handwashing.
- Ensure employees wash hands in designated handwashing sink. To be corrected by: 05-July-2022
Comments

Follow up inspection conducted to verify violations identified at routine inspection have been corrected.

- Water supply to handwashing sink has been turned back on. Hot and cold running water are now available at handsink in addition to liquid soap and paper towel.

- Walk-in cooler has been re-organized with all food products stored off the floor on shelving. Ensure food products are always protected from contamination including storing all food items 6 inches off of the floor, in food grade containers covered with food grade wrap or tight fitting lids. Once opened contents of cans are to be transferred into food grade containers.

Note: Chest freezer in storage shed 3 was checked and was -20C. Other chest freezer was moved to Govinda's storage area. Additional new upright freezer present; however, not plugged in/not in use.
