Observation: 1 spray bottle of bleach sanitizer solution in the kitchen area was noted with > 200 PPM chlorine residual (test strip bleached out).
Corrective Action(s): Spoke to a staff who spoke English and explained that this was noted during the last routine inspection. Please explain to the operator and other staff that only 2 tsp. of bleach is required for every 1 L of water to make 100 - 200 PPM bleach sanitizer. Anything over 200 PPM could actually become a chemical hazard to food.

Comments

Follow-up inspection conducted for report# KLAI-CU2TDH
- Did not observe improper cooling during the inspection. However, ice wands were still noted in the walk-in cooler. The ice wands should be in active use, in the freezer and ready to use for cooling large containers of broth.
- No unprotected food noted in the walk-in freezer or walk-in cooler during the inspection.
- Facility was not thawing at the time of inspection.
- Walk-in cooler was noted at 3.0C.
- Back door was closed upon arrival. However, screen door must be fixed if the operator wish to leave the back door open.
