Observation: A number of foods in the dry storage room are contaminated with droppings and found torn open by rodents.

Approximately 20-40 bags of fennel seed bags opened

Spice bags have droppings throughout.
Corrective Action(s): Discard the fennel seed and spice bags.

Operator is to go through ALL foods in the dry storage room for any signs of contamination. Any foods opened or contaminated must be discarded. Any foods not observed contaminated are to be cleaned and disinfected with a dilute bleach solution 1:50 on the outer packaging.

All lightly packaged foods such as paper, or soft plastic are to be stored in rodent proof containers (including the unopened bulk bags.

All the shelves and floors are to be cleaned and disinfected with bleach.

Any pest entry points must be covered up.

NOTE: a review of the last pest control report from Orkin on October 12, 2018 indicates approximately17 infractions:
-Back screen door not closing properly
-Debris on the floor under sinks, along walls
-Rodent droppings under cooler
-Stagnant water under sinks
-Rodent droppings under the preparation area
-Debris on floor front bar
-Rodent droppings under the ice machine
-gaps/opening around pipe under back sink
-debris on floor next to fridge
-Improper storage of old recycling next to back door
-Excessive clutter at the back office
-Rodent droppings in the back office
-Gaps/opening around pipe under dishwasher
-Tree in the back from the building needs trimming

You as the operator should be addressing citations from your pest control immediately as a number of issues were noted repeatedly during their bi-weekly visits

NOTE: Operator is to ensure all of the above issues have been addressed and corrected -Operator is to have Orkin for another inspection once you have corrected the problems -submit the work report to me once completed
