Observation: Miscellaneous items (sugar packets, cups) and food debris (coffee beans, grounds) noted underneath food preparation counters along the serving side of the store, particularly underneath the blender riser sink and serving counter.
Corrective Action(s): Clean and sanitize this area as per your sanitation plan.

Maintaining a high level of sanitation will help to prevent the presence of pests such as rodents or flies.

Observation: Staff members on site at the time of inspection were unsure if they have FoodSafe or equivalent training. In the absence of the operator or manager, there must be at least ONE other staff member on site with food safety training.
Corrective Action(s): Rearrange schedules or ensure staff members are enrolled in an approved food safety training course in order to meet the above requirement.

> 3 compartment sink set up for manual warewashing - 200ppm QUATS sanitizer available from the source and in the 3rd compartment at time of inspection.
> 200ppm QUATS sanitizer available at coffee bar.
> Test strips are on site.
> Ice machine maintained in sanitary condition, scoop stored outside of the machine.
> No signs of pests at time of inspection.
> In-use utensils must be cleaned and sanitized at least every 4 hours.
> Dry goods stored in pest proof containers.
> Warehouse storage space is well organized and tidy.
**There are several unused/old items (boxes, baskets, tupperware) stored underneath the shelving units. Remove these items immediately to avoid creating harbouring areas for pests. Send photo of cleared out space to the undersigned.

Note: hot water at the hand sink and 3 compartment sink is available but spotty. The faucets were turned on for at least 1 minute until hot water arrived, but did not stay very long. Store staff indicated that there have been issues with the hot water supply and pipes, potentially an insulation issue. Business card was provided - please update the undersigned with any plans for repairs and if/once they have been completed.
