302 - Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces not properly washed and sanitized [s. 17(2)] Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Two buckets of sanitizer solution at 0ppm QUAT sanitizer upon entry to facility. Buckets changed for new sanitizer solution at Health Inspector's request. New sanitizer solution at 0ppm QUAT. Lack of testing strips at facility. Testing strips then found in unopen package behind hot water tank. CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION - sanitizer solution was poured from dispensing unit into sink and solution then transferred to buckets. . Corrective Action(s): Ensure sanitizer solution is checked daily to ensure adequate concentration is dispensed . Violation Score: 5 401 - Adequate handwashing stations not available for employees [s. 21(4)] Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Back handsink had rice bowl drying inside unit. Do not practice this as it is unsanitary and prevents staff from accessing handsink. . CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION - Health inspector moved rice bowl to washing compartment of three compartment sink. . Corrective Action(s): Violation Score: 5

304 - Premises not free of pests [s. 26(a)] Observation: Rodent droppings found in front area on floor and lower shelf. . Corrective Action(s): Clean and sanitize affected areas with 200ppm Chlorine solution . Violation Score: 3 305 - Conditions observed that may allow entrance/harbouring/breeding of pests [s. 26(b),(c)] Observation: Small hole observed under front cooler unit. Spray foam insulation has been used surrounding unit however a small portion was missed. . Corrective Action(s): Fill hole / seal hole. . Violation Score: 3 308 - Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces are not in good working order [s. 16(b)] Observation: 1) Front beverage cooler malfunctioning 2) Front prep cooler running high at 6-8 degrees Celsius (other open prep coolers at 1-4 degrees Celsius) 3) QUAT sanitizer dispensing unit not dispensing properly. . Corrective Action(s): Have technician service front facing prep cooler at same time as beverage cooler as it is running high. Have Sanitizer dispensing unit checked. Teach all staff where testing strips are located and how to use testing strips to test for 200ppm QUAT. . Violation Score: 9

COMMENTS - Pest control program in place - Handsinks adequately supplied - Coolers achieving temperatures of less than or equal to 4 degrees Celsius - Freezers achieving temperatures of less than or equal to -18 degrees Celsius - Hot Holding achieving temperatures of greater than or equal to 60 degrees Celsius - Two functional sink plugs available for use - Ice machine in good sanitary condition - Proper re-heating methods observed for previously cooked food items - First In First out and date stamping methods observed in use - Vegetable chopper stored in good sanitary condition - Hair nets in use - Light covers in place - Cooler handles and seals in good sanitary condition NOTE: Unable to check juicer unit, front beverage cooler and frozen yogurt machine as all were broken during time of inspection ***NOTE: FOODSAFE Certification – Any staff Certified prior to July 29, 2013 must re-take FOODSAFE as it expires on July 29, 2018.
