Comments

- Premises and equipment maintained in a sanitary condition. *Small spill (dry goods) noted in storage room. Ensure spills are cleaned up quickly to prevent attraction of pests
- Handsinks supplied with hot and cold water, liquid soap and paper towel (air dryers in washrooms).
- Coolers were operating at acceptable temperatures (4C or colder)
- Display cooler 2C
- Undercounter barista cooler 1C
- Undercounter cooler (across from espresso machine) 2C
- Small undercounter cooler 2C
- 2 door reach in unit 3C
- Freezer -14C *At beginning of inspection temperature was 0/-1C. Unit may have been on a defrost cycle as temperature decreased in 30 min. Continue to monitor and ensure products remains in a frozen state at all times.
- Quats sanitizer present from dispenser at 3 compartment sink. Concentration was 200ppm. *Only two drain plugs present. Obtain 3rd drain plug so that sinks can be filled and items fully submerged when manually warewashing.
- Wiping cloths at barista station stored in quats sanitizer solution which was measured to be 200ppm.
- High temperature dishwasher functional and met sanitizing temperature required. Final rinse temperature was 74.9C at dish surface.
- No signs of pest activity noted at the time of the inspection. Pest Control contract in place with monthly service. Past reports were provided for review at the time of the inspection. *Ensure recommendations of Pest Control Technician are followed.
- One staff member on duty holds certificate for Foodsafe level 1 equivalent at the time of the inspection. Reminder to review staff certificates and expiry dates to ensure they are valid and there is adequate coverage for all shifts. The Operator must have completed Foodsafe level 1 (or equivalent) and in the Operator's absence, there must be at least 1 staff member present who has completed Foodsafe level 1 (or equivalent).
