Corrective Action(s): Coffee service should be discontinued immediately. All baked goods to be packed in the production area as discussed prior to and during the initial inspection. 103 - Failure to hold a valid permit while operating a food service establishment [s. 8(1)] Observation: Facility has been approved as a manufacturing plant, not a food service establishment. Corrective Action(s): Apply for a Health Permit and pay the applicable fee. Violation Score: 1 212 - Operator has not provided acceptable written food handling procedures [s. 23] Observation: No food safety plan has been submitted for coffee service. Corrective Action(s): Develop a food safety plan for coffe services. Violation Score: 1 311 - Premises not maintained as per approved plans [s. 6(1)(b)] Observation: Facility's front area was to be utilized as a pick-up/waiting area only. All baked goods were to be packed in the manufacturing area, not at the front. Handwashing station requirement has already been explained and discussed prior to and during the initial inspection. A small cooler filled with ice packs to store dairy for coffee service has never been approved by the health inspector. Corrective Action(s): Ensure to have the floorplan updated and approved by the health inspector prior to making any changes. Violation Score: 3 314 - Operator has not provided acceptable written sanitation procedures [s. 24] Observation: No sanitation plan has been submitted for coffee service/front packing station. Corrective Action(s): Develop a sanitation plan for the above and submit to the health inspector. Violation Score: 1

Comments

Facility started serving coffee based drinks on site without approval. Correction Order issued at this time. Findings during the inspection and correction order were discussed and explained to the operator over the phone at the time of the inspection. Possible locations for the extra sink discussed. Copy of this report and Correction Order to be emailed to the operator today and hand-delivered tomorrow. Please contact the health inspector for any questions or concerns.
