Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Some containers were noted double stacked in small cooler across from grill. This is not an acceptable practice as bottom of container may contaminate food that it is stacked on top of.
Corrective Action(s): Ensure food items in storage are covered with food grade wrap or lids. Do not double stack containers.

306 - Food premises not maintained in a sanitary condition [s. 17(1)]
Observation: Accumulation of food debris and grease noted in several areas of the kitchen:
-shelving above prep sink
-inside sliding door cooler
-deep fryer and grill area
-floor where cans are currently being stored
Corrective Action(s): Clean areas noted above to remove food debris and grease accumulation. Remove cans from floor and store on shelving so that floor area is kept clear. Correction date: Aug. 9/16

Observation: Handwashing sink drain is leaking. Sink can be still be used for handwashing as bucket is currently underneath to catch water.
Corrective Action(s): Repair sink drain so that it is in good working order and no longer leaking. Correction date: Aug. 5/16

Hot and cold running water was available
Liquid soap and paper towel were present at handwashing sink and in staff/public washrooms.
Walk-in cooler was at 4C Raw meats were stored below and away from ready to eat foods and produce
Upright freezer was -4C
Hot holding of rice was 60C-69C
Hot holding of beef was 62C and soup was 70C
>50ppm chlorine was detected in the final rinse of the dishwasher to sanitize dishes
Wiping cloths were stored in sanitizer solution (100ppm chlorine)
* Front service sliding door cooler was at 8C however only non perishable drinks and glassware (ie. canned pop and beer) were stored there
**54 seats were present at the time of the inspection. Health permit is only valid for 50 seats or less. Extra seats were removed at the time of the inspection.
