Observation: 1. A bag of spice in dry storage room left open with spices spilling all over the floor.
2. Bowls observed to be used as scoops for dry goods in storage containers.
Corrective Action(s): Ensure foods are placed in food grade containers once opened and use scoops with handles only if operator wishes to keep scoops in containers.

306 - Food premises not maintained in a sanitary condition [s. 17(1)]
Observation: A better, more thorough cleaning is required in kitchen
Corrective Action(s): Clean the following:
-->ventilation exhaust filters and edge of hood (heavy grease noted)
-->floor under cooking line, especially behind cooking equipment
-->cooking equipment such as stove burners, deep fryer, wok, etc
-->food containers in dry storage area

Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): One butcher knife noted with serveral visible chip on blade
Corrective Action(s): Staff discarded knife. Ensure all knives are in good condition to be in use.

Note:
1. An additional handwashing station is installed around the corner of the front bubble tea area -->Thank you.
2. Increasing seats (+8) was mentioned by manager Peter Wu during last visit. It was discussed that if facility receives a low-hazard rating, facility can increase 8 more seats. Based on today's inspection, facility is granted approval to increase 8 seats; however, if consecutive high hazard rating is noted in the future Fraser Health might reduce the seats again.
