Observation: Several fridges were too warm. The tall upright fridge at the entrance to the kitchen, the double sliding glass door fridge by the kitchen window and the reach-in undercounter fridge across from the stoves. Temperatures were 45-50F.
Corrective Action(s): Technicains have been contacted to service the units. Adjust or service the units when they are found to be too warm during your daily checks. .

401 - Adequate handwashing stations not available for employees [s. 21(4)]
Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Container of food in the handsink near the cooking equipment. The tap handle of the other handsink is dirty.
Corrective Action(s): Keep the sinks clear so that it is always accessible for handwashing. Keep the tap handles clean.

Observation: Trays of foods not covered in the walk-in.
Corrective Action(s): Keep them covered to protect from debris being dropped from the wire rack shelves above.

Observation: Holes in the screen door and gap at the bottom edge. The opened window in the kitchen has no screen. Numerous fruit flies noted in the kitchen.
Corrective Action(s): Repair the screen door. Provide with window screen. Remove the accumulated empty beverage bottles outside the staff washroom.

306 - Food premises not maintained in a sanitary condition [s. 17(1)]
Observation: Food and soils lodged inside the openning in the freezer lid. Dry storage room is disorganized.
Corrective Action(s): Clean and close the opening. Organize dry storage room. Paint the walls in the washroom, remove snap traps from the shelving unit. Remove loose piece of plastic from the squeeze handle of the overhead sprayer in the dishpit area.

Ensure large containers of food are cooled quickly.
Resurface the rough floor next to the lid for the grease trap. It should be smooth and impervious to moisture and easily cleanable.
Dishwasher sanitizer is detected.
Remove old droppings in the dry storage room.
Ensure that the exterior storage container is checked for pest and is included in the pest control service.
