Code 302 noted on Routine inspection # CTIN-AX2PT4 of Mar-20-2018
Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces not properly washed and sanitized [s. 17(2)]
Observation: 1) Bleach sanitizer in spray bottle was measured to be 0ppm in the bar. Another spray bottle labelled "Pink" is also used in the bar but staffs are unsure what the solution is. Second repeat of this infraction. 2) Small amount of mildew inside the ice machine (left).
Correction: 1) Demonstrated to staff how to mix bleach sanitizer. Use 1 teaspoon bleach and fill to 1 litre water for 100ppm bleach, use on food contact surfaces (e.g. where drinks are prepared in the bar, counters etc.). Clarify with owner what the "Pink" solution is and what it is used for. 2) Clean and sanitize the ice machine properly, this should be cleaned at least every 3-6 months.

Adequate handwashing stations not available for employees [s. 21(4)]
Observation: A rectangular plate was stored in the kitchen handwash station (across from cooking area). No paper towel in the staff washroom. This is the third repeated infraction.
Correction: Do not store anything in the handwash station and always ensure all handwash stations has soap, paper towel, hot and cold running water. Plate removed and paper towel to be placed in the dispenser. Further repeat of this infraction shall result in issuance of violation ticket.
