Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Bleach in sink for manual warewashing had no detectable chlorine sanitizer.
Corrective Action(s): Chlorine must be at 100ppm to allow for proper sanitizing of equipment and food contact surfaces. Bleach was added to the sink and was tested at 100ppm.

Observation: 1) Two cardboard boxes of food were stored on the floor in the walk-in cooler.
2) A scoop/bowl was stored directly in the ingredient container.
Corrective Action(s): 1) Ensure foods are stored off the floor in order to prevent potential contamination of foods
2) Ensure scoops are stored in a sanitary manner to prevent contamination of foods.

310 - Single use containers & utensils are used more than once [s. 20]
Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): A ring pop container was used to store dry ingredients.
Corrective Action(s): Ring pop containers are not intended for reuses. Container is not durable and cannot withstand repeated washing and sanitizing. All containers must be smooth, non-absorbent, and easily cleanable. Ingredients were transferred to a proper container at the time of inspection.

Comments

-Walk-in cooler was at 1C.
-Walk-in freezer was at -16C.
-Front display cooler was at 4C.
-Prep cooler was at 4C (top and bottom).
-Upright freezer was at -18C.
-Handwash station accessible and supplied with hot and cold running water, liquid hand soap, and single use paper towels. Staff were observed practicing proper hand hygiene practices at the time of inspection.
-Bleach sanitizer pail labelled and tested at 200ppm.
-Potentially hazardous foods properly cooled and were below 4C.
-Raw meats stored below ready-to-eat foods.
-General sanitation good at the time of inspection.
-No signs of pests noted at the time of inspection. Previous fruit fly issues is not longer a concern. Ensure facility is maintained in a clean and sanitary condition and regular cleaning is carried out to prevent reoccurrence of issues.
-Washroom clean and supplied with hot and cold running water, liquid hand soap, and single use paper towels.
-FOODSAFE Level 1 valid until February 16, 2024.
