811 - Semi critical items not adequately cleaned and disinfected Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Implements used for eyelash extensions (eyelash tweezers used around the eye) are semi critical items and require high level disinfectant. Currently the disinfectant being used (RTU) is not labelled as a high level disinfectant. Corrective Action(s): Use high level disinfectant for semi critical items (tweezers) and for container used to mix eyelash tints. Violation Score: 15

Services: Esthetics (eyelash and brow tints, facial waxing, facials) and Eyelash Extensions. Today, room being used is in Locks and Lashes. Room has a sink with hot/cold water, liquid soap, paper towels to be used for hand washing. Eyelash and brow tints - labelling for Professional Use only. Tweezers (used around eye) and the lash tint mixing dishes - high level disinfectant required - See above. All other items for waxing, immobilizing eyes, etc. are single use disposable. If providing dermaplaning, single use razors, sharps container, and high level disinfection of handle is required. Signature not required. Copy of report to be emailed.
