209 - Food not protected from contamination [s. 12(a)]
Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): 1.Noticed rice (in a cooker) stored underneath the bulletin board with push pins.
2. Corners of the bus pans used for cooling hot food items are secured using metal wires.
Corrective Action(s): 1. Remove all push-pins and thumb tacks etc from the bulletin board to remove chances of physical contamination of foods.
2. Do not use any metal wires or strings on any food storage containers.

304 - Premises not free of pests [s. 26(a)]
Observation: Evidence of mice infestation ( mice droppings) noticed in many areas of the kitchen-namely staff washroom, near the back entrance, boiler room, behind the deep freezer and dry storage areas.
Corrective Action(s): 1. As dicussed, clean and disinfect all affected areas after removing mice droppings. Ensure to move all items completely before cleaning. Disinfect the affected surfaces and floors with 1:20 bleach water solution ( By March 27, 2024).
2. Continue to watch for any new droppings in all areas of the restaurant especially in all hard-to-reach areas, underneath and behind shelving and equipment. Place mice traps (e.g. glue traps) underneath shelving.
3. Hire a licensed pest control company to initiate rodent monitoring and control (March 27, 2022).

306 - Food premises not maintained in a sanitary condition [s. 17(1)]
Observation: Build up of food debris and spills noticed on the wooden dish storage shelf underneath the preparation table. The wooden shelf is not easy to clean.
Corrective Action(s): Clean throughly to remove all food debris. Repalce the shelf with a washable, non-absorbent and easy to clean shelf. (By March 28, 2022).
