Code 111 noted on Routine inspection # JELR-CD7TLZ of Apr-05-2022 Semi critical items not adequately cleaned and disinfected Observation: (code 211) Metal foot file (paddle/rasp) for callus removal is cleaned and then disinfected with alcohol which dries quickly and is not a high level disinfectant. Correction: Immediately use a high level disinfectant as per directions on the chemical bottle label to properly disinfect foot file/paddle which is a semi critical item. Provide a container with lid that is large enough to store foot paddle for the required contact time in chemical disinfectant. Provide disinfectant with expiry date on label. Watch dates.

High level disinfectant is available and used as per directions on label for semi critical items (nippers, foot files/rasp, etc.). Foot rasp is fully immersed. Time tracking is being carried out and posters are posted. Disinfectant expiry date is 2023. Soap is available for use in treatment room used for waxing. Signature not required.
