Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Potentially hazardous food (e.g. cold roasted chicken, prepped vegetables) were above 4 degrees C in the under-the-counter for less than 2 hours. Under-the-cooler in the front service area was at 8.4 degrees C.
Corrective Action(s): Ensure cold potentially hazardous food is stored and displayed at 4 degrees C (40 degrees F) or less. Staff transferred the cold potentially hazardous food (e.g. roast chicken, prepped vegetables, cheese, and eggs) into the walk-in-cooler to store it at 4 degrees C or less during the inspection.

Comments

Handsink was supplied with liquid soap, hot and cold running water, and single-use paper towels.
Staff were observed washing their hands properly and changing single-use gloves.
Walk-in-cooler, sandwich prep. coolers, and beverage cooler were at or below 4 degrees C.
Walk-in-freezer temperature was satisfactory.
Hot-held food (e.g. meatballs and soup) were at least 60 degrees C.
3-compartment sink was supplied with hot and cold running water. Liquid soap and paper towels were also available via a dispenser.
200 ppm QUATS sanitizer was available in the sanitizer pail, spray bottle, and third compartment sink unit.
No signs of pest activity were evident at the time of inspection.
Pest control program was in place via the mall.
Manager held valid FOODSAFE Level 1 equivalent course training (Canadian Institute of Food Safety: Food Handler Certification Online Course, expiration date: August 5, 2027).
Permit to operate was posted.
