Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Cold potentially hazardous food (e.g. ham and turkey) was above 4 degrees C (measured between 6-7 degrees C) in the under-the-counter cooler. Staff informed this cooler was at or below 4 degrees C prior to their lunch rush.
Corrective Action(s): Cold potentially hazardous food was transferred from the under-the-counter cooler into the walk-in-cooler to maintain it at or below 4 degrees C. Ensure cold potentially hazardous food is stored at or below 4 degrees C.

Observation: Permit to operate was not displayed in a conspicuous location of the food service establishment. Permit to operate was available on-site, however the frame was broken. Staff informed that they had previously posted it, however the frame broke.
Corrective Action(s): Ensure to re-post the permit to operate in a conspicuous location; Correct within 2 weeks.

Observation: Under-the-counter cooler was at 5.9 to 7.4 degrees C at the time of inspection.
Corrective Action(s): Adjust, repair, or re-service the cooler to ensure it maintains temperatures at or below 4 degrees C; Correct by September 14, 2022 and provide an update to the Environmental Health Officer. In the meanwhile, do not store any potentially hazardous food in this cooler until it is maintained at or below 4 degrees C; Effective immediately.

Handsinks in the food service establishment and washrooms were properly supplied.
Staff were observed washing their hands properly at the time of inspection.
3-compartment sink was supplied with hot and cold running water.
200 ppm QUATS sanitizer was available in a labelled spray bottle and from the dispenser.
Walk-in-cooler and both prep. coolers were at or below 4 degrees C.
Walk-in-freezer temperature was satisfactory.
Refrigeration units were equipped with thermometers.
Hot-held food (meatballs and soup) were at or above 60 degrees C.
No signs of recent pest activity were evident at the time of inspection.
Both staff members on shift had valid FOODSAFE Level 1 equivalent course training.
