Comments

- Handwashing sink supplied with hot and cold water, liquid soap and paper towel
- Reviewed receiving, storage, roasting and packaging procedures with Warehouse Manager. Production flow is placeRaw product (green coffee beans) are stored away from roasted/finished product. De-stoning and metal detection equipment present in process to remove foreign objects which may be present in raw product.
- Chlorine sanitizer solution used 100-200ppm to sanitize surfaces.
- Pest Control contract in place with monthly service. Previous two reports (March, April) viewed. March report indicated no pest activity and April report stated 2 cockroaches were found; 1 in front service area and 1 in roasting area. Sticky traps (placed by Technician 16-Apr) were checked at time of the inspection and no cockroaches were noted. Continue to maintain contract with Pest Control company and increase service frequency if any increase in activity is noted. Follow all recommendations of Pest Control Technician and maintain a high level of sanitation.

Note: Project to convert adjacent space (accessed through office area) to a commissary kitchen to be used for food preparation has not proceeded. Space is being used as a meeting room. Espresso machine present is being used for training. Walk-in cooler not on/not in use. If project will proceed in future, prior review and written approval by Fraser Health is needed as plans which were submitted to Fraser Health were not approved.
