Hot potentially hazardous food stored/displayed below 60 °C. [s. 14(2)]
Observation: Insert of chicken strips were at 49.5 to 52.9C. Staff onsite said he just cooked it at 2pm. The hot holding unit appear to be turned off.
Correction: Reheat chicken strips to 74C before hot holding at 60C. Alert staff to check that hot holding units are turned on.
Comments

Hot holding unit was turned on and food was stored over 60C at time of inspection.
No other infractions corrected, see comments above. Store manager did not contact health unit either.
No confirmation from corporate plans that frozen soup is reheated via hot holding unit. No soup being reheated this way at time of inspection.
Use stove to boil frozen soup until further notice.

***Premises will require a second follow up inspection as most of the infractions are uncorrected. Will return next Thursday Dec 28 in AM.
