Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Sanitizer was available, but machine was not pulling it into the machine. No sanitizer detected within after 4 cycles.
Corrective Action(s): Contact a technician to repair your bar glasswasher. Until it is repaired, wash all glasses in the dishwasher in the kitchen.

401 - Adequate handwashing stations not available for employees [s. 21(4)]
Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): The handwashing station in the kitchen is blocked by a machine and a container was in the sink basin.
Corrective Action(s): Move the equpiment so the handwashing sink is easily accessible. Do not block the sink and do not wash equipment in this sink. Handwashing sinks are for handwashing only. Staff removed the equipment from the sink basin at the time of inspection. The machine is still blocking most access; this must by the end of business today.

Observation:
1) Foods were stored in the cooler without being covered. Entire container was sitting in another container of food in the walk-in cooler.

2) Cardboard and newspapers were used within the coolers.
Corrective Action(s):
1) Foods should be covered when in storage to prevent cross-contamination. Do not stack food containers on top of one another without a cover in between.

2) Do not use cardboard and newspapers to line shelves as these are not smooth and easily washable surfaces.

306 - Food premises not maintained in a sanitary condition [s. 17(1)]
Observation: The inside of the walk-in cooler closest to the dishwashing machine has mould growth on the walls, as well as debris on the fan covering. The insulation for the piping within in the cooler has come loose.
Corrective Action(s): Clean and sanitize the walls, shelves and fan cover in the walk-in cooler. Repair the insulation.

Observation: According to staff, only the owner has FOODSAFE Level 1 or equivalent (who is not present).
