Observation: *REPEATED VIOLATION*
Duct tapes were observed on the inside of all 4 doors of prep coolers and used to support the damaged door seal. Duct tapes are sticky surfaces that are not easy to clean and can result in build-up of dirt/ food debris that could cause potential food contamination.
Corrective Action(s): Remove the duct tapes and replace the door seal of all 4 doors.

Comments

Routine inspection conducted at the food facility and the following observations were made:

Temperature (coolers to be at 4C or less, freezers at -18C or less):
- Walk-in cooler at 2C
- Chest freezer at -16C
- Small chest freezer at -29C
- Prep cooler at 3C
- Pop cooler at 4C
- Hold holding unit (pizza slices) at 62C

Storage:
- All food items were stored at least 6" off the floor.
- Food products were found either in original packaging or covered inside coolers.
- Storage area was well-organized.
- Chemicals and cleaners were stored separate from food preparation areas.

Sanitation & Maintenance:
- Hand wash station was repaired and adequately stocked with hot/cold running water, liquid soap, and single-use paper towels.
- Sanitizer spray bottle available and the concentration of bleach noted at 200ppm.
- 3 compartment sink used for dishwashing. Staff prepared bleach solution during inspection and the concentration was noted at 100ppm (recommended 200ppm).
- Utensils and tongs were found in sanitary condition.
- Slushie customer self-serve area was found clean. One slushie machine was out of order.
- Washroom was maintained in good sanitary condition.
- General sanitation of facility is satisfactory.

Pest Management:
- Improvement noted in terms of pest management.
- Professional pest control company conducts routine checks.
- No visible signs of pest activity observed at the time of inspection.
- Mechanical traps were present throughout the facility.

Administrative:
- Operating permit was posted in a conspicuous location.
- Operator has valid FoodSafe Level 1 certificate.
