304 - Premises not free of pests [s. 26(a)]
Observation: Three rodent droppings observed upstairs in storage area. Staff stated daily vacuuming in this area is required and rodent droppings are routinely found.

Corrective Action(s): Spray rodent droppings with 200ppm chlorine solution or equivalent. Remove droppings from area. Wet affected area with 200ppm chlorine or equivalent and soak area.
Inspect facility for points of entry for pests. Seal any holes.
Obtain services of professional pest control company. Have traps set in this upper storage area - no traps observed during inspection.
Ensure items are removed from floor. Obtain shelves and monitor floor. Area is cluttered and the perfect area for rodents.
Follow recommendations advised by Pest Control Company Technician.

308 - Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces are not in good working order [s. 16(b)]
Observation: 1) Cupboard containing hand sink in back area adjacent to dishwasher requires refurbishment as surface is pulling away from wooden structure.
NOTE: Manger stated renovations are occurring in future. If any structural, equipment or plumbing renovations occur ensure FHA is informed of proposed changes.
2) Dishwasher door is not closing properly and looks to be requiring repair. Technician has been called and an appointment has been booked for this week.
