Introduction

Introduction
An unscheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSP). Facility Risk Assessment Screening for COVID 19.
The following areas of the facility were reviewed for compliance:

2. Health and Illness Policy
3. Hygiene/ communicable disease contact
4. Registration
5. Staff
The following topics were discussed

The following resources were provided.
COVID 19: public health guidance for child care settings

Observed Violations
PHYSICAL FACILITY, EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS: 11020 - CCLR s.13(2) - A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.
Observation: rust was found on two of the indoor electric wall heaters, the rust is accessible to the children
Corrective Action(s): please ensure the heater is repaired and the rust is inaccessible to the children
