Introduction

An unscheduled first routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DOLSOP). All areas of the facility were inspected for compliance.

Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice except for those noted on supplementary pages.

Observed Violations

LICENSING: 10060 - CCLR s.11(3) - When advertising or otherwise offering services to the public, a licensee must identify the care program being offered. Observation: LO observed and discussed with the Manager, re: outdoor signage advertising as Preschool. Corrective Action(s): Ensure that correct care program offered is advertised. Date to be Corrected: March 10, 2023

Comments

Summary of Inspection At today’s inspection there were 19 children and 3 staff present. The Manager was onsite and assisted LO with today's inspection. At this inspection the above noted contravention were identified. Licensee is required to address cited item to bring the facility in compliance. As part of this Routine Inspection, a Facility Risk Assessment Tool is completed and a copy was provided to the facility along with this report.
