Introduction

An unscheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSP).
All areas of the facility were reviewed for compliance

Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice.
Observed Violations
No violations were found during the inspection.
Comments

Summary of Inspection

At today’s inspection there were 5 children and the Licensee present. 6 children are currently enrolled plus Licensee's own child.
At this inspection no contraventions were identified.
No action is required by the Licensee.
As part of this Routine Inspection a Facility Risk Assessment Tool was completed and a copy was provided.

The following education/recommendations were provided through discussion:
- Reportable Incident reporting to Duty line: #604 587 3936 for emergencies if area Licensing Officer can’t be contacted.
- Active Supervision both indoors and outdoors.
- Temporary Placement application process and requirements.
- Recommends printing off child photos and include them in the first aid kit in case of emergency.
- Ensuring attendance includes Licensee's own child as part of the group.
- Discussed rotation and use of emergency supplies to avoid waste.
