Corrective Action(s): Continue to monitor for rodents Follow recommendations of pest control company. . Violation Score: 9 305 - Conditions observed that may allow entrance/harbouring/breeding of pests [s. 26(b),(c)] Observation: Exterior door sweeps have not been repaired or replaced. Three doors to kitchen are not tight fitting and have gaps that could allow for pest entry Holes in walls under coffee station and dishwasher are still present. . Corrective Action(s): The exterior doors to the facility need to be assessed and replaced if gaps are existing. There is a gap in the door sweep of the exterior door where deliveries occur. This is right next to kitchen and is potentially contributing to rodent infestation. Repair this sweep so that the exterior door is tight fitting. Seal doors to kitchen so that they are tight fitting Seal all holes in kitchen walls. . Violation Score: 9 306 - Food premises not maintained in a sanitary condition [s. 17(1)] Observation: Rodent droppings and evidence of urine on lower shelves of: - Rolling rack - Pot storage area under toaster - Coffee area . COMMENTS - Facility has had improved cleaning schedule ITEMS TO BE CORRECTED: - Facility requires more steel wool to seal holes and cavities in walls surrounding dishwashing area and coffee station - Continue to monitor for rodents - Follow recommendations of Pest Control Company - The doors to the kitchen have gaps and no door sweeps have been added. Previous routine inspection in September alerted facility to this issue. Discussion with Owner and EHO shortly after inspection. Owner was to ensure that the doors into the kitchen would be tight fitting. This has yet to occur. Ensure the necessary repairs are made and the doors are tight fitting. This is now an urgent issue as colder weather will bring more rodents into facility. NOTE: provide EHO with Pest Control Records. Email EHO to review items
