Observation: Small amount of mould within icce machine. Mould can contaminate ice it it is not cleaned.

Correction: Drain the ice machine and clean + sanitize all surfaces. Continue cleaning the ice amchine every 2 weeks and ensure that all areas are addressed to prevent mould growth.

Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): A few piles of bowls were stored under one of the kitchen counters. These items were hindering the operator's ability to clean these areas.

Comments

General comments:
* Facility is very clean overall. Some additional areas to clean include:
- inside + outside of microwave
- the pan underneath the rice steamer where water condenses.
* Reminder to keep all foods off the ground in coolers. Keep 6 inches off the ground to prevent contamination + allow easier cleaning. Dry storage foods must be sealed.
- All coolers were 4C or less
- All freezers were -18C or less
- All hot-holding units were 60C or above
- Chemical dishwasher had 100ppm of chlorine bleach.
- Chlorine solution in pan was 200ppm. Cloths are soaked in bleach overnight - recommend to bring home occasionally to wash in laundry, at high heat.
- Foodsafe certified staff present
- Meat slicer was clean.
- Exhaust hood was recently serviced + clean
- No signs of pests observed
- Sanitation for facility very good, well organized
- Foods were protected from contamination
- Handsinks had liquid soap + single use paper towel available.
Reminder: All Foodsafe Level 1 certificates issued in BC before July 29, 2013 will expire on July 29, 2018.
