Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Buckets of cut vegetables noted at ~15 deg. C on surface of vegetables. Ice filled up to halfway of the buckets.
Corrective Action(s): Place smaller amount of cut vegetables. Add more ice. Ice should be covering the vegetables to keep temperature at or below 4 deg. C

Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Juicer is only washed once at the end of the day.
Corrective Action(s): Equipment that are in continuous use must be cleaned and sanitized at least every 4 hours. Juicer cleaned at the time of inspection.

Observation: Couple fruit flies flew out of the juicer. With the absence of manager, pest control report could not be reviewed.
Corrective Action(s): Have a pest control company report ready for a review for the follow-up inspection. Increase sanitation to discourage pest activities. Standing water and decaying organic matters must be cleaned. Consult your pest control company about fruit fly problem.

Observation: Water drips out of a hose that is connected to floor cleaner dispenser. A staff reported that a pooling of water on floor was a problem noted before.
Corrective Action(s): Remove any standing water as soon as possible.

Observation: Sanitizer and floor cleaner dispenser was turned off at the time of inspection due to excessive water leakage. A staff manually mixed QUATS for sanitizing dishwares (concentration noted at 200 ppm). Manager contacted a technician.
Corrective Action(s): Place a sign for other staffs so that the dispenser is not used until serviced. Manually mix sanitizer as demonstrated to the health officer.
