Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): - Internal temperature of sandwiches in small prep cooler (noted in violation code 308) measured 6.5C
Corrective Action(s): - Manager directed to transfer sandwiches to another cooler.

Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): - Container of utensils (knives) stored directly adjacent to handwashing sink. This is not a sanitary locatoin as splashing/splatter from handwashing could contaminate utensils.
Corrective Action(s): - Manager was directed to move/re-locate container/utensils. Re-wash and sanitize items.
- Ensure clean and sanitized utensils are stored in a sanitary manner away from potential sources of contamination.

Observation: - Small prep cooler had an ambient temperature of 7C which increased to 10C during the inspection. The unit display indicates it is cycling through defrost; however, food temperatures were beginning to increase above 4C.
Corrective Action(s): - Repair/adjust/service cooler so that it is capable of maintaining food at a temperature of 4C or colder. The timing of the defrost cycle may need to be changed so that it is not during peak service times. Do not store any potentially hazardous foods in this unit until it has been serviced/repaired and confirmed to be operating in good working order (4C or colder). [Correction date: 14-Oct-2019]

- Handsink supplied liquid soap and paper towel. *Ensure hands are washed in designated handwashing sink. Larger sink is for food preparation purposes only.

- Coolers were operating at acceptable temperatures (4C or colder) with the exception of the small prep cooler noted in violation code 308

- Warewashing is completed in production facility which is inspected by CFIA
- No signs of pest activity noted at time of the inspection.
- Premises is well organized with floors kept clear which facilitates cleaning and monitoring.
- Assistant Mgr present has completed Foodsafe level 1. Certificate valid until Jan 2024
