Introduction

An unscheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care & Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulation (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DOLSP). All care categories were inspected for compliance.

Observed Violations

PHYSICAL FACILITY, EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS: 11010 - CCLR s.13(1) - A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees. Observation: the screws in the tire play structure are hazardous to the children Corrective Action(s): please ensure the ends of the screws are made so they are not a hazard to the children Date to be Corrected: November 29,2023

The inspection report was written on-site and details were reviewed with the Manager prior to writing the report. A copy of the routine inspection report is provided to the manager via email. Visit the CCFL website at www.fraserhealth.ca/childcare for additional resources, and links to the Legislation (CCALA and CCLR} discussed the following care plans tagging of the fire extinguishers with appropriate renewal date before current tag expires this november
