302 - Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces not properly washed and sanitized [s. 17(2)]
Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): No sanitizing solution was available onsite during facility operation for sanitizing food prep tables and other food contact surfaces. Staff preprared 200ppm bleach solution in a spray bottle and labelled it during inspection.
Corrective Action(s): To ensure adequate cleaning and sanitation of food contact surfaces, please have a food grade sanitizer onsite during facility operation. It is recommended to make the sanitizer solution when the facility is opened in the morning. 200ppm bleach solution can prepared by adding 1 teaspoon bleach in 1 litre of water.

401 - Adequate handwashing stations not available for employees [s. 21(4)]
Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): 1 handwash sink available in the back for kitchen staff. Handwash sink was blocked from one side with the shelving unit and was not accessible to staff for handwashing. Staff moved the middle shelving units away from handwash station and made it accessible to staff working on both sides of back kitchen.
Corrective Action(s): Ensure that handwash sink is available to staff and not obstructed at any time during facility operation.

209 - Food not protected from contamination [s. 12(a)]
Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Scoops and small bowls were stored inside the storage bins directly in contact with the food. Staff removed the scoops and bowls and put them in dishwashing area.
Corrective Action(s): Use proper scoops for dispensing food. Keep the scoops with handle up (not in touch with food) or outside the bin in sanitary manner.

304 - Premises not free of pests [s. 26(a)]
Observation: Few rodent droppings found on floor in the dry storage room. Operator stated that the pest control company conducts routine checks two times a month.
Corrective Action(s): Please keep your facility clean and remove the rodent droppings regularly. Notify your pest control company about the affected area.

Observation: Small gap/hole noted on the side wall of dry storage room that could be a potential entry point for rodents. Operator stated that she is aware and will have it sealed soon.
Corrective Action(s): Please seal any gap that could allow pest/rodents into the facility.

Routine inspection conducted.

Observations:
- Temperature of prep coolers, walk in cooler & undercounter coolers recorded at or below 4C
- Freezers noted at or below -18C
- Walk in freezer noted at -5C
- Hot holding units recorded above 60C
- All handwash sink (front and back) had adequate supply of hot and cold running water, liquid soap and single use paper towels.
- Low temp mechanical dishwasher recorded dispensing 50ppm chlorine residual during rinse cycle.
- Operator has valid FOODSAFE Level 1 certificate (Exp May 20, 2024)
- Permit posted at the front.
