Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): 1) There was no paper towels inside the paper towel dispenser at the back handwashing station. This is a repeat violation.
2) The soap dispenser was leaking at the handwashing station at the two compartment sink.
Corrective Action(s): 1) The operator supplied paper towels inside the dispenser. All handwashing stations MUST be supplied with soap and paper towels at all times. Stricter enforcement will be issued in future inspections.
2) The operator provided new hand soap. Immediately fix the leak in the soap dispenser.

Cold potentially hazardous food stored/displayed above 4 °C. [s. 14(2)] (There is insufficient cool air circulation in the display cooler at the front of the kitchen to keep cold potentially hazardous food (PHF) items cold. The food items stored on the bottom measured at 4C while the ones stored on top shelves measured at 20C. The shelves were covered in foil and metal trays placed side by side which prevented cool air circulation inside the display cooler. )

The operator stated that they are spraying the large pans and pots with bleach solution. There were no spray bottles available at the time of the inspection.)

Comments

Follow up inspection to report# DSOG-AUV2BG:

- Code 401 was corrected at the time of the inspection on January 9th, 2018.
- Codes 205, 301, 302 were corrected at the time of the inspection on September 18th, 2018.
- Code 401 was corrected at the time of the inspection on September 13, 2018.

- General sanitation has improved.
- The other handwashing station was supplied with hot/cold running water, soap, and paper towels.
- Food items were mostly covered with plastic wraps in the walk in cooler and above the display cooler at the front of the kitchen.
- The additional paper towel dispenser was installed at the other handwashing station (one at the two compartment sink).
- There was FOODSAFE trained staff on duty. Verified at the time of the inspection.
Note: FOODSAFE certificates obtained prior to July 29th, 2013 expires on July 29th, 2018. The operator must take a refresher course to receive recertification of FOODSAFE prior to this date. A FOODSAFE Certificate now has a five year expiration date from the date of certification.
