Observation: There were worn out and damaged shelving units under the service counter near the side door as well as strips of shelving counters have broken off.
Corrective Action(s): Replace worn out and damage shelving units under the service counter and repair broken off strips of shelving counters to ensure ease of cleaning and also to avoid injury to staff (due to sharp edging of damaged shelf).

Comments

New operators taking over the food services as of August 1, 2016 from Sodexo.
Completed application completed by new operators.
Permit fee to be paid from Ontario Head Office.
Food Safety Plan and Sanitation Plan submitted.
Food Safe certificate of person in charge of Food Services has been submitted.
All staff will be provided with Food Safe training as per new management.
No change in layout but there will be future renovations.

Inspection:
-Hand wash stations provided with liquid soap and paper towels.
-Quats sanitizer measured 200 ppm.
-Walk-in freezer was at -20 to -23 deg C.
-Upright cooler and sandwich prep cooler was at 4 deg C or below.
-Hot holding for eggs, sausages, bacon was at 65 deg C or above.
-Temperature log was available and up to date.
-Pest control monitoring in place by UFV (interior and exterior).
-General sanitation was satisfactory at time of inspection.
