Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION):
The staff washroom soap dispenser was empty and there was no more on the premises. Liquid soap dispensers shall be full at all times so that staff can properly wash their hands after using the washroom.
Corrective Action(s):
Immediately purchase a liquid soap dispenser from a local store until the shipment of soap arrives. During the inspection, staff went to the local store and purchased a soap dispenser and placed it by the sink in the washroom.

Observation:
Repairs made to the tile floor infront of the deep fryers, but there still are walls, corners and floors (by back door and infront of ice cream machine) that have dents, peeling paint, and/or cracked tiles. These surfaces are not sealed or cleanable and will attract pests as they are hard to clean or will absorb food debris.
Corrective Action(s):
Inspect all floors, walls, corners, and surfaces for damage and repair theses areas so that they meet minimum health standards. All surfaces shall be made of a material that is durable; smooth; sealed; level; light colored; impervious to water; and cleanable.

Comments

A routine inspection was conducted, the following observations were made:
- Coolers 4C or colder; freezers were -14C or colder; hot holdin units above 60C; thermometers present; and temperatures recorded daily.
- Quats sanitizer in 3-comp. sink was 200ppm; [Cl2] of sanitizer cloths soak in was between 50-100ppm.
- Hand sinks stocked with liquid soap, paper towels, and running hot and cold water.
- Foods stored in food grade containers; covered; in groups with raw proteins separate or below RTE foods; and 6" off the floor on shelves or platforms.
- No expired food for sale or in use. FIFO rules followed.
- FoodSafe certified staff present.
- General sanitation level is good. No signs of pests.
- Food handlers use utensils to handle food and wash hands when changing tasks.
- Replacement Health permit and decal (#156548) hand delivered to premises. This must be posted in an area where the public can see it.
