Observation: - Rodent droppings observed under shelves along floor/ wall edges on back kitchen wall (beside back kitchen door).
- Rodent droppings observed along pony wall between upright freezer and equipment shelving.
Corrective Action(s): - Remove droppings and thoroughly clean above noted areas.
- Use bleach solution (1 tsp chlorine bleach + 1 L water) on affected areas.
- Report affected areas to your pest control service technician. Use snap traps and/ or glue boards.

Observation: - Doorsweep at back kitchen is warped and no longer seals gap between bottom of door and ground.
- Duct tape and tape is not suitable for sealing holes/ gaps between wall and walk-in freezer.
Corrective Action(s): - Replace doorsweep at back kitchen door
- Seal holes/ gaps between wall and walk-in freezer. Use an application that is durable and easily cleanable. E.g. caulk, stainless steel flashing and/ or corner guards, etc.
- Ensure all holes/ cracks/ gaps >1 cm are filled and sealed to prevent potential pest entry.

Note: Vakroulade Bakery Crop in operation at time of inspection. Discussed best practices for food storage of dry ingredients to protect from contamination and prevent potential pest attraction. Opened bags of dry ingredients should be stored in tight lid, rodent proof containers constructed of food grade materials. Reviewed defined areas around designated workstation where operator must maintain sanitation as area is not used by Canadian Pizza Plus.
