Introduction

An unscheduled inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSP). All areas of the facility were inspected for compliance

Contraventions
Previous Inspection - Contraventions observed on FIR #JBES-B8WP96 have been corrected.
Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice except for those noted on supplementary pages.

Observed Violations
RECORDS AND REPORTING: 19070 - CCLR s.57(2)(a) - A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (a) name, sex, date of birth, medical insurance plan number and immunization status.
Observation: Audit of 6 children's registration files revealed one child missing immunization information; Licensee/Manager states that forms have been provided to the parent/guardian and reminders have been given however the information remains outstanding, attempting a proactive approach and receiving the documentation.
Corrective Action(s): Please ensure all legislatively required documentation is obtained and maintained at all times.

Comments

At the inspection dated December 16, 2019 there were 4 children and 1 staff present.
No coded violations were noted during today's inspection; no written response is requested at this time.

As part of this Routine Inspection a Facility Risk Assessment Tool is completed and a copy is provided.
The following education/recommendations were provided:
· Promoting Active Play in the program
· Temporary Placements
· Lead in the Water
