PHYSICAL FACILITY, EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS: 11010 - CCLR s.13(1) - A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.
Observation: Licensing observed the following in the IT program:
- Camera wire hanging within reach in the nap room accessible to children. Camera is stored on top of a cupboard.

Group child care program:
- Long red strap (approx 8 ft) used to secure nap mats was dangling from a high upper shelf. This poses a strangulation risk or risk of the upper shelf being dismantled if a child was to hang on it.
- Bedding was stored on nap mats between uses, however the bedding was touching, potential for spread of germs.
- Extension cord used for the light table was draped over the paper towel dispenser and plugged into the light table. This poses a risk for strangulation.
