Introduction

An unscheduled inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSP). All areas of the facility were inspected for compliance.

Contraventions
Previous Inspection - Contraventions observed on FIR #JBES-B9YPXZ have been corrected.
Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice.

Observed Violations
No violations were found during the inspection.

Comments

At the inspection dated March 3, 2020 there were 4 children and 1 staff present.

At time of inspection, the backyard was inaccessible for inspection. The lock securing the door leading to the backyard is broken, therefore the local park is being utilized daily.

No coded violations were noted during today's inspection; no written response is requested at this time.

As part of this Routine Inspection a Facility Risk Assessment Tool is completed and a copy is provided.
The following education/recommendations were provided:
· Promoting Active Play in the program
· Temporary Placements

The following resources were provided:
· Reportable Incident Bulletin
· Active Supervision
· Safe sleeping environments
· Child Care Links: Program of Activities
· Lead in Water
· Knowing the difference between Cleaners, Sanitizers and Disinfectants.
