Introduction

An unscheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSP). All care categories were inspected for compliance

Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice.

Observed Violations
No violations were found during the inspection.

Comments

At the inspection dated December 01, 2021 there were 0 children and 1 staff present. At this inspection no contraventions were identified. No further action is required by the Licensee or the Licensing Officer. As part of this Routine Inspection a Facility Risk Assessment Tool is completed and a copy is provided.
This inspection and the risk assessment were written off site and a copy was emailed to the facility.

At todays inspection there were no children in care, Licensing reviewed the physical premise (indoor and outdoor) fire drills, attendance, Covid-19 protocols, children's registration and outdoor play equipment. Licensing will conduct a follow up inspection at a later date to observe care and supervision.

The following education/recommendations were provided:

- Continuing to follow Covid-19 safety protocols.
- Reportable Incidents were discussed on when and how to report.
- Ensuring children's files are updated.
- Parents may document a Walk-in clinic on their child's registration if a family doctor is not available.
