Code 301 noted on Routine inspection # CTIN-B4PUN3 of Sep-17-2018 Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces not maintained in sanitary condition [s. 17(1)] (Small amounts of mildew is observed in large ice machine in the back.)

Comments

Ice machine in the back has been cleaned. Flooring under double sink, office desk, cupboards and handover area has been improved. Corner by entrance to back area was cleaned at time of inspection. *More cleaning is required under ice bin as residue is still visible. Discussed continuous cleaning effort required in order to deter pest harbourage, including door handles, inside of cabinet walls etc. Food and equipment (e.g. scoops) should be stored in tight fitting lid, at least nightly to prevent contamination. Retain all pest control reports. Any spills should be removed immediately. ->Manager informed that she will be following up with Head Office with regards to structural upgrades, no change has been made yet. Please update me when you hear back. ->Sealant should be applied to small gap between stainless steel backsplash at handover area and wall if no further treatment is required. This will prevent beverage spill into the crease and attracting pests. ->Manager will be following up with admin office with regards to Operating Permit. Permit replacement form has been e-mailed to operator.
