Critical Hazards: Total Number: 1
211 - Semi critical items not adequately cleaned and disinfected
Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Metal foot file is only 1/2 immersed in disinfectant. The disinfectant expiry date is 2020 and cannot be used as it may not be strong enough (crystals formed in disinfectant). Cuticle nippers and other semi critical items are also disinfected with expired disinfectant.
Corrective Action(s): Immediately fully immerse metal foot file (callus remover/rasp) in high level disinfectant. Use high level disinfectant that has not expired to disinfect semi critical items. Follow directions on the label. In meantime, a high level chlorine solution (1/4 cup bleach in 2 cups of water) made fresh daily is being used.
