Introduction

An unscheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSP).
All areas of the facility were reviewed for compliance.

Observed Violations
No violations were found during the inspection.
Comments

Summary of Inspection

At today’s inspection there were 5 children and the licensee present.
7 children are currently enrolled.
Licensing did a full walk through of the whole home

At this inspection no contraventions were identified.
No action required
As part of this Routine Inspection a Facility Risk Assessment Tool was completed and a copy was provided.

The following education/recommendations were provided through discussion:
- Healthy eating using the Canada Food Guide - parents provide healthy foods
- Active Play promotion - facility also uses local park
- Active Supervision reminders particularly in public spaces
- Reportable Incident reporting to Duty line: #604 587 3936 for emergencies if area Licensing Officer can’t be contacted.
