Observation:
Damaged wall tiles and some areas of walls are chipped exposing the drywall. These surfaces are not sealed or cleanable.
Corrective Action(s):
Repair these areas of the walls, and any other areas you find, so that the surfaces are smooth, sealed, durable, impervious to water, and cleanable. Continue to make these small improvements to walls and floors until the renovations in 2020 occur.

Comments

A routine inspection was conducted, the following observations were made:
- Coolers 4C or colder; freezers -20C or colder; hot holding units above 60C; and thermometers present.
- Liquid soap and paper towel present for washing hands at 2-comp. dishwashing sink.
- Quats sanitizer in spray bottles and cloth buckets was 200ppm.
- New retail display freezers, ice machine, and ice cream machine have been installed. All in working condition.
- All foods stored in food grade containers; covered; labeled; in groups with raw proteins separate or below RTE foods; and 6" off the floor on shelves.
- General sanitation is satisfactory. Facility is less cluttered and more organized..
- No signs of pests. Pest control company contracted to monitor the facility on a monthly basis.
- FoodSafe certified staff present. BE ADVISED, all certificates obtained prior to July 2013 will expire in July 2018. Go to www.foodsafe.ca to register for the refresher course.
- Discussion with the manager regarding the location of the handwashing sink. The sink will be installed beside the hot food assembly table, this will be completed in the coming weeks. Contact our office when this is completed so a follow-up inspection can be done.
