Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Debris observed on slicing part of can opener. Repeat violation.
Corrective Action(s): Can opener was cleaned and sanitized at time of inspection. Ensure can opener is properly cleaned and sanitizer after each use. Debris may potentially contaminate food when opening cans.

Follow up to report MBEK-D3ZQED.
Hand washing stations accessible, hot and cold running water, liquid soap, and paper towels in place.
Counter top deep fryer is located under the ventilation canopy hood.
Raw eggs are not stored above ready-to-eat foods.
Plastic bins are now being used for onion storage.
Cash not stored above or in proximity to food.
Dust/mildew in walk-in cooler has been cleaned.
Food is not stored directly on the floor.
Chemicals labeled.
No evidence of pest activity observed in cabinets noted on previous inspection report. Holes/gaps not observed in these areas.
The following remains outstanding:
Only staff member on duty at time of follow up inspection does not have FOODSAFE Level 1 or its equivalent, in the operator's absence (same staff member as during routine inspection). Staff member however provided the Environmental Health Officer (EHO) with proof of registration (registration date: April 21, 2024) and stated she is planning to complete the course today or tomorrow. Email a copy of the certificate to the undersigned EHO upon successful completion.
Some mouse droppings were again observed in the dry food storage area (food is protected from contamination in rigid containers with lids, no signs of contamination). Affected areas cleaned and sanitized at time of inspection. Email a copy of the most recent pest control report to the undersigned EHO. Ensure all holes/gaps that may potentially permit pest entry are identified and properly sealed.
