Disinfectants used: Quaternary ammonium compound (20 mL per litre soak 10 minutes to disinfect combs, brushes, etc.) and hydrogen peroxide disinfectant used for clippers.
Cleaner disinfectant (hydrogen peroxide) is also used for chairs, door knobs, and other surfaces. ***Follow directions on the label of the bottle for dilution and contact time depending surface to be disinfected (disinfection is required for all non-critical surfaces).
Hair washing sinks separated by barriers (Covid-19 precaution).
Hair washing sink can be used as a handwashing sink also (hose handle fits into cradle) - good.
** Unable to check backflow preventer for hair wash sinks due to concealed plumbing. The hose/handle is left in the cradle which also provides an air gap.
Hand sink is also available in the staff room.
Washroom has liquid soap, single service/paper towels, and hot/cold water.
Laundry is washed off site - ok.
Premises is clean and well organized.
Mask Order is currently in effect requiring face coverings in all indoor public places.
