Observation:
1. Three light fixtures in the kitchen and light fixture in the washroom observed not functioning. Lighting is not bright enough to adequately handle food in a safe manner.

2. Multiple ceiling tiles in the kitchen are observed falling apart.
Corrective Action(s):
1. Replace light bulbs in all light fixtures to ensure the space is adequately lit to handle food safely and to ensure the facility is maintained as per approved plans.

2. Replace ceiling tiles to ensure they are in good working order, not peeling and constructed of non-porous materials as per approved plans.

Submit photos of both replacements/repairs to the health inspector via email.

Routine Inspection Conducted

Observations:
- General sanitation satisfactory
- All hand washing stations are unobstructed and supplied with hot and cold running water, liquid soap and paper towel
- 3-compartment sink available with drain plugs and bleach
- Bleach sanitizer measured at 200 ppm chlorine concentration with test strip
- Walk-in cooler at 2'C
- No hot-holding on site
- All food observed covered and stored at least 6 inches off the floor
- No meat is prepared on site
- No signs of pest activity during inspection
- FOODSAFE Level 1 trained staff available on site
- Permit posted in a conspicuous location on site

Note:
- All front display sweets are discarded after 2 hours, as stated by staff and as signs indicates on the display coolers

Reminders:
- Maintain a log for time-tracking sweets which are held at room temperature to ensure they are discarded every 2 hours (or as per approved food safety plan)
- Staff on site to submit FOODSAFE Level 1 training or equivalent
