Introduction

An unscheduled routine inspection was conducted to assess compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act (CCALA), the Child care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and the relevant Director of Licensing Standards of Practice (DLSP).
All areas of the facility were reviewed for compliance.

Current Inspection - Items reviewed comply with the Act, regulations & standards of practice except for those noted on supplementary pages.

Observed Violations
RECORDS AND REPORTING: 19051 - CCLR s.56.1(2)(a) - A licensee must keep (a) a copy of the written statement, referred to in section 19 of the Act, that the licensee delivers to persons who prepay part of the cost of services
Observation: On review of 5 children's files, 2 files were missing a copy of the prepayment agreement signed by the families. All other files contained this information. Licensee stated that all parents receive a copy of the parent handbook and generally return the last page which holds the signed agreement.
Corrective Action(s): Please ensure this information is added to the children's files once the signed agreement is obtained.

Summary of Inspection
A full walk through of the property was conducted at inspection.
At today’s inspection dated February 25th 2019 there were 5 children and the Licensee present. At this inspection the above noted contraventions were identified.
A written response is required from the Licensee by the date below
Licensing will review the response.
As part of this Routine Inspection a Facility Risk Assessment Tool was completed and a copy was provided.

The following education/recommendations were provided through discussion:
· Promoting Active Play in the program
· Temporary Placements
· Active Supervision
· Policy review for immunization, illness.
