Observation: Rodent droppings and signs of rodents in the following areas:
- Droppings in the crevice area in the pots and pans area
- Droppings present in the back of the dry storage room underneath the dry storage containers / bags
- Mechanical trap at the side entrance to the Gurdwara has approximately 3 deceased rodents
Corrective Action(s): Remove all rodent droppings with 1 part bleach, 9 parts water & saturate for 15 minutes before removing. Call professional pest control company and reset all mechanical traps. NOTE: Dry storage area and pots / pans area will be demolished and replaced as per renovation plans.

Observation: The following areas require additional, signficant cleaning:
- Pots and pans storage area - crevice at the back area contains a significant amount of grime / droppings
- Dry storage room - at the back area underneath the dry storage products
- Area behind the stand-up glass cooler in the dry stoarge room is filled with spilled grains and is accumulating a significant amount of filth
Corrective Action(s): Pots and pans storage area, and dry storage room, need to be cleared out and cleaned / power-washed. Throughly clean and disinfect the area behidn the glass cooler in the dry storage room. Ensure that both areas remain in good sanitary condition at ALL times. Follow-up inspection to occur.

Comments

Routine inspection conducted. Facility is poorly maintained and is in structurally poor condition. The following observations were made:

- Walk-in cooler at 4C
- Stand-up cooler (for dairy) in the kitchen area at 4C
- Stand-up cooler in dry storage room at 4-5C
- Chest freezer at -15C
- Hot-held soups at >=60C
- Soups on the burners at time of inspection were measured at between 61-65C. You must ensure that the stove remains on so that the food is continually heated and does not fall below 60C
- Yogurt chickpea displayed up front was used up within 30 minutes - please note that the chickpea needs to be kept ON ICE
- Two-compartment hand wash station stocked with hot/cold running water, liquid soap, and single-use paper towels
- High-temperature conveyor-style dishwasher sanitizes at final rinse cycle of 71C (Min: 71C)
- Bleach sanitizing pails are stored underneath prep tables at a concentration of 200 ppm chlorine residual
- Food servers observed during Hajoria to cover their beards while serving food to patrons
- Professional pest control company arrives monthly to conduct audits. Send most recent professional pest control report to the Environmental Health Officer
